Vietnam looks to promote co-operation with Sudan

Nhan Dan/VNA - Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung has informed Sudanese Ambassador Sayed Altayeb Ahmad of Vietnam’s wish to boost ties with Sudan so the two sides can promote further co-operation in all fields for their mutual benefit.

Meeting the newly accredited Sudanese ambassador in Hanoi on March 4, PM Dung suggested that Vietnam and Sudan step up their partnership in major fields including economics, trade, investment and rice production.

The PM said he hopes the two sides will continue their close co-ordination at the United Nations.

Expressing his belief that the diplomat is in a position to make positive contributions to the development of bilateral ties between the two countries, he affirmed that the Vietnamese Government would offer him all possible support during his tenure.

In response, Ambassador Ahmad lauded the socio-economic development that Vietnam has achieved over the past years.

He noted that, on April 4, the Vietnam-Sudan Joint Committee is to take place with the aim of speeding up bilateral co-operation, especially in economics, trade and investment.

He said Vietnamese enterprises are welcome in Sudan, adding that he would do his utmost to improve co-operation between the two countries.

Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung has told Sudanese Ambassador Sayed Altayeb Ahmad that Vietnam is keen on boosting ties with Sudan and hopes that the two sides can further promote cooperation in all fields for their mutual benefit.

Meeting the newly-accredited Sudanese ambassador on March 4 in Hanoi, PM Dung suggested that Vietnam and Sudan step up their partnership in major fields including economics, trade, investment and rice production.

The PM said he hopes the two sides will continue their close coordination in the United Nations arena.

Expressing his belief that the diplomat will make positive contributions to the development of bilateral ties between the two countries, he affirmed that the Vietnamese government as well as ministries and sectors will offer all possible support for him during his tenure.

In reply, Ambassador Ahmad lauded the socio-economic development that Vietnam has achieved over the past years.

He noted that in April 4, the Vietnam-Sudan Joint Committee will be held to speed up bilateral cooperation, especially in economics, trade and investment.

Vietnamese enterprises are welcomed in Sudan, he said, adding that he will do his utmost to work with the Vietnamese side to beef up cooperation between the two countries.-VNA

 
Việt Nam rất coi trọng quan hệ hợp tác với Sudan

Hoan nghênh ngài Sayed Eltayeb Ahmad nhận nhiệm vụ Đại sứ Sudan tại Việt Nam, Thủ tướng Nguyễn Tấn Dũng tin tưởng trong nhiệm kỳ Đại sứ sẽ đóng góp tích cực vào việc thúc đẩy quan hệ hữu hợp tác giữa hai nước. Chính phủ và các bộ, ngành của Việt Nam sẽ tạo điều kiện thuận lợi để Đại sứ thúc đẩy quan hệ hợp tác giữa hai nước, Thủ tướng Nguyễn Tấn Dũng khẳng định. Cảm ơn Thủ tướng dành thời gian tiếp, ngài Sayed Eltayeb Ahmad bày tỏ ngưỡng mộ trước những thành tựu trong phát triển kinh tế-xã hội mà Việt Nam đã đạt được. Đại sứ Sayed Eltayeb Ahmad cho biết trong tháng 4/2014, hai bên sẽ họp Ủy ban hỗn hợp nhằm thúc đẩy quan hệ hợp tác giữa hai nước, nhất là trên lĩnh vực kinh tế, thương mại, đầu tư... Deputy Minister Le Duong Quang receives Sudanese Secretary of State

On February 18th, 2014, at office of Ministry of Industry and Trade, Deputy Minister Le Duong Quang had a meeting with Secretary of State of Sudan, H.E. Gaafar Kamal Ismaeel Saeed Abdelraheem, on occasion of his working visit to Vietnam.

At the meeting, Sudanese Secretary of State informed of the country’s wish to promote trade and industrial bilateral exchange between to the same development level of sound political and diplomatic relation. Sudan could be considered as a entry-gate for Vietnamese exports’ getting into Northern Africa, in particular, and into Africa, in general. As proposed by Sudanese secretary of State, two nations should promote cooperation opportunities for bilateral trade boosting including mission exchange.

Affirming the priority in Government’s policy in cooperation with African nations, Deputy Minister Le Duong Quang said that Vietnam and Sudan share vast potentials for cooperation in goods production, foods processing, petroleum, and mining… Sudan should encourage business community to come Vietnam for market survey and doing business and investment, Deputy Minister proposed to Sudanese Secretary of State.

Deputy Minister Le Duong Quang and H.E. Gaafar Kamal Ismaeel Saeed Abdelraheem also had discussion on proposals to be included into MOU on cooperation in industrial sector between the two countries.

Deputy Minister Le Duong Quang confirmed the high appreciation by Ministry of Industry and Trade on the agreement to establish Joint Commission and confirmed on Ministry’s cooperation with Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Redevelopment – the chairing unit on Vietnamese side in the commission - in making preparation for upcoming first session. Ministry of Industry and Trade commits itself to make highest active contribution in activities under framework of Joint Commission aiming at promoting bilateral economic cooperation and trade promotion.
