Việt Nam- Sudan: Sớm thành lập Ủy ban hỗn hợp

Chiều ngày 18/10, Bộ trưởng Bộ Công Thương Vũ Huy Hoàng đã có buổi tiếp và làm việc với Đại sứ Sudan tại Việt Nam.

CôngThương-Với vị trí cửa ngõ đi vào Châu Phi và Trung Đông, Sudan đang mở ra nhiều cơ hội cho các doanh nghiệp Việt Nam. Tuy nhiên, quan hệ thương mại giữa Việt Nam và Sudan vẫn còn thấp, chưa tương xứng với mối quan hệ hữu nghị và tiềm năng.

Năm 2012, tổng kim ngạch xuất nhập khẩu Việt Nam- Sudan đạt hơn 29,2 triệu USD, trong đó Việt Nam xuất khẩu 28,9 triệu, nhập khẩu 0,3 triệu USD. Sudan nhập khẩu chủ yếu là hàng dệt may từ Việt Nam, tiếp đó là các mặt hàng như gạo, hàng thủy sản. Việt Nam nhập từ Sudan chủ yếu là phế liệu sắt thép.

Với kim ngạch hai chiều còn thấp, Bộ trưởng Vũ Huy Hoàng đề nghị “trong thời gian tới, làm sao tìm biện pháp nâng cao, mở rộng hơn nữa để thúc đẩy quan hệ kinh tế xứng tầm với quan hệ chính trị”.

Bộ trưởng cũng cho biết, từ nay đến cuối năm 2013 sẽ thành lập Ủy ban hỗn hợp hai nước. Đây chính là công cụ hữu hiệu góp phần thúc đẩy quan hệ thương mại và đầu tư giữa hai nước.

Sudan là quốc gia có nguồn tài nguyên phong phú với trữ lượng lớn các khoáng sản như vàng, đồng,niken, dầu mỏ…Vì vậy, Đại sứ Sudan tại Việt Nam mong muốn doanh nghiệp Việt Nam sang Sudan tìm kiếm cơ hội đầu tư và kinh doanh.

Được biết, trong tháng 7 vừa qua, Bộ Công Thương đã tổ chức đoàn nghiên cứu thị trường và xúc tiến thương mại trong các lĩnh vực khoáng sản, dầu khí, xuất nhập khẩu, gạo, nông sản, dệt may, thủy sản…tại Sudan.

Minister Vu Huy Hoang receives Sudanese Ambassador

On October 18th, 2013, at office of Ministry of Industry and Trade, Minister Vu Huy Hoang had a cordial meeting with Sudanese Ambassador to Vietnam, Sayed Altayeb Ahmed, on occasion of his new term in Vietnam.

At the meeting, Minister Vu Huy Hoang affirmed that Vietnam always attached importance to the traditional and multi-faceted relation with Republic of Sudan. However, due to the context and geographical distance, bilateral economic, trade, and investment relation remained limited. Minister recommended that two sides should boost bilateral economic, trade, investment relation to a level commensurate to the friendship between the two countries.

Minister Vu Huy Hoang and Ambassador Sayed Altayeb Ahmed exchanged on solutions to boost bilateral economic and trade relations. Minister and Ambassador highly appreciated the agreement on establishment of Vietnam – Sudan Joint Commission which could be considered as an important mechanism for enhancing bilateral comprehensive relation.

Ambassador Sayed Altayeb Ahmed informed Minister of the coming of delegation of 25 Sudanese enterprises to Vietnam to participate in Cooperation Forum between Vietnam and Midle East and North-African countries to be held in the beginning of November 2013. Highly appreciating Sudanese businesses’ participation to the forum, Minister Vu Huy Hoang informed that Ministry of Industry and Trade would coordinate with relevant organs in arranging the meetings between Vietnamese and Sudanese businesses for thir exchange and discussion on cooperation opportunities.

On this occasion, Ambassador Sayed Altayeb Ahmed invited Minister Vu Huy Hoang to visit Republic of Sudan. Expressing thanks for Ambassador’s invitation, Minister Vu Huy Hoang informed to arrange schedule for the visit.

President welcomes new Ambassadors

(Vietnamplus - 27/08/2013) - President Truong Tan Sang has made it clear that Viet Nam stands ready to be the bridge for enhancing relations between the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) and Austria, Armenia, Sudan and Congo.

Receiving newly-appointed Ambassadors of Austria, Armenia, Sudan and Congo to Viet Nam in Ha Noi on August 27, President Sang pledged all possible support for the ambassadors to fulfill their assigned tasks.


Time-honoured ties between Viet Nam and the above-mentioned countries will be the firm foundation for them to boost trade and investment cooperation, he said.

The president spoke highly of the outcomes of the agricultural cooperation among Viet Nam, Sudan and Congo using the tripartite model under a programme of the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organisation (FAO), adding that Viet Nam is willing to work with other countries in this field.

He expressed his hope that the aforementioned countries will back Viet Nam at regional and global forums.


The Ambassadors of Austria, Armenia, Sudan and Congo conveyed their Presidents’ invitation to Sang to visit the countries to bring bilateral ties to a new height.

The Sudanese Ambassador, Sayed Eltayeb Ahmad informed that a delegation of Sudanese firms will visit Viet Nam to attend a forum on African regional investment cooperation later this year.

The Ambassador of Congo, Owassa Daniel, meanwhile, said his country needs support of foreign nations, including Viet Nam, adding that its freshly-established industrial zones are looking forward to welcoming Vietnamese investors.

 
State President welcomes new foreign ambassadors

(VOV) -President Truong Tan Sang on August 27 received the newly-accredited ambassadors of Austria, Armenia, Sudan and Congo, who presented credentials to him.

Sang appreciated the effective cooperation between Vietnam and these countries in recent times and assured the diplomats that Vietnam creates the best conditions for them to fulfil their tasks.

He said Vietnam and these countries have developed traditional relations, laying a firm foundation for both sides to increase trade, economic and investment cooperation.

With its increasing role in Southeast Asia, Vietnam is ready to promote cooperation between ASEAN and these countries, Sang said, expressing hope that Austria, Armenia, Sudan and Congo will support Vietnam at regional and international forums.

He spoke highly of the encouraging results of agricultural cooperation between Vietnam, Sudan and Congo under a FAO tripartite cooperation model. He stressed with its advantages in various areas, Vietnam is willing to cooperate with these countries.

He also asked relevant Vietnamese agencies to work closely with the aforementioned countries to increase delegation visits and prepare the signing of agreements to boost bilateral trade ties.

Ambassadors Thomas Loidl of Austria, Raisa Vardanyan of Armenia, Sayed Eltayeb Ahmad of Sudan, and Owassa Daniel of Congo congratulated Vietnam on its recent development achievements and thanked the Southeast Asian nation for supporting their countries at international forums.

They conveyed their presidents’ invitations to President Sang to visit these countries to bring bilateral relations to a new level.

Sudanese ambassador Sayed Eltayeb Ahmad said a business delegation of Sudan will visit and attend an African investment forum in Vietnam this year to seek opportunities for cooperation.

Congolese ambassador Owassa Daniel said his country needs assistance from foreign countries, including Vietnam, and that its newly established industrial parks are looking forwards to receiving Vietnamese businesses for investment projects.
